TRIBE Magazine — Canada’s Electronic Music Magazine

Canada’s Electronic Music Magazine
Est. 1993 Toronto, Canada tribemagazine.com

Founded in 1993 in Toronto by Alex Dordevic (alexd), named after the tribes of people he saw wandering around the downtown core after hours, listening for bass and looking for parties. TRIBE Magazine was Canada’s definitive document of electronic music culture — covering the club, rave, and DJ scene nationally for over a decade. At its peak, 100,000 readers monthly picked it up at clubs, record stores and fashion retailers from coast to coast. Supported with advertising from small local retailers, event promoters, and in part by the Canadian Magazine Fund, Department of Canadian Heritage. Called “The Bible of Rave” by the Ryerson Review of Journalism.
